Just because I've been out at sea for a few moths is no reason for a slackening of correspondence! Pease encase a note or two in a handy bottle throw it to the waves c/o the Cap'n I'm all cars when it comes to rumors, more times than not you'll find that it pays t0 spread the ward.

As or the news that I do have: Notice been sent (and may I add my heartiest congratulationats) that Bruce Alexander has earned class distinction of "Seaworthy Mate" (next to the Captain, of course) in being designated a Naval Aviator and receiving his Wings of Gold. Bruce completed more than a year of intensive ground and inflight training and will now be assigned to specialized advanced training.

Meanwhile, Kelvin Chin's hovering closer to the ground - physically-speaking, that is. Kelvin is now director of expansion in East Asia for transcendental meditation at the Maharishi International University. Shades of T.M. placards posted all over the campus!

Nick Simonelli writes and asks us to write - to Babol, Iran. Seems Nick is engaged with the Peace Corps over there and longs for a piece of the action over here. When time permits, why not whip off a bottle to him as well? Address: Box 143, Babol, Iran. Must be a booming metropolis, huh?

Also on the job scene is Vence Lewis, a management trainee for the First National Bank of Chicago.

Recently overboard was George Bailey to Mary Louise Soller in a garden wedding at the bride's home, June 22. Both will reside in Palo Alto where Mary Louise plans to attend Stanford Law and George will work and attend school.

Question of the month: Could Joan Snell ever match wits with Bill Slesnick on the tennis court? Only time can tell.

On a more personal, somber note is the recent announcement of the death of a close classmate, Terry Hennessey. Terry and "hometown honey" Margaret were married on November 23 in Savannah, Ga., where subsequent to that time Terry worked in the Industrial Relations Division of Union Camp Corporation and attended MBA night school with his wife.

A hearty worker on the DDA morning shift, Terry's voice and appearance were oftentimes unending rays of sunshine to the early-morning go-getter. Somehow, getting up in the morning is going to be all the more hard from now on.

Terry was a member of Kappa Sigma, and participated in the Foreign Study Program in France. I am sure that I speak for all his friends when I say that his presence will be greatly missed.

That's all for news that's fit to print. Please write when you can. Ready about ...
