1923's Jim Landauer, trustee and vice president of New York's Memorial Hospital addressed a distinguished audience at dedication ceremonies this winter for the new institution at 1275 York Avenue in Manhatten. It replaces the former hospital on East 68th Street and serves as the clinical unit of the Memorial SloanKettering Cancer Center, the largest private cancer center in the world.
Jim, whose trustee and directorships are legion, as are his services to the College, shared a platform with: (among others) Laurence Rockefeller, board chairman of the Cancer Center; Tricia Nixon Cox, Mrs. Mary Lasker, member of the President's Committee on Cancer Research; and former Governor Nelson Rockefeller '30.
