Ray and Sally Seymour spent the summer at Ray's old ancestral home in Richmond Mass., as usual. Allen Dorr was born in this small town. Allen's widow Margaret lives close by in Pittsfield.

Herb Wolff, while plagued with infirmities, goes to his office in New York occasionally. His son Herb Jr. is a member of the same law firm and will carry on the family tradition.

Horace Chadbourne writes that his life style has changed greatly since his wife Cecelia passed away. Cecilia was a wheelchair victim for some time before her death, but she was always that cheerful personality that we admired so much.

Malcolm Bissell says he has been afflicted by the same infirmities that plague Bert Kent and expresses his sympathy. Malcolm lost his wife last January after married 60 years, and this loss has broasat many changes in his life style.

Larry and Miriam Bankart spent the summer at their farm in Norwich, Vt. Rain for two days prevented our reunion group from accepting their invitation to visit them. Karen and I have one of Larry's beautiful Vermont landscape paintings hanging in our bedroom.

Leo Sherman writes that he has been confined to his bed for a year, but has much to be thankful for. His loyal wife is in constant attendance. They have to lift him out of bed with a hydraulic lift and place him in his wheelchair. Leo keeps in touch with their daughters, and they visit Leo occasionally. Leo speaks reverently of Dartmouth and his classmates.

While in Florida last winter Bill Taylor and I drove up to Lake Worth to spend an afternoon with Ossie Shenstone and his wife Gladys. Ossie is nearly blind but cheerful and keeps busy. He takes a long walk daily and he and Gladys take a swim in their beautiful pool daily.

Karen and I drove over from Sanibel Island to Fort Myers to see Cheever Comey. He has had a serious aneurysm of the aorta. His daughter drove down, sold Cheever's mobile home and took him to Toledo, Ohio, to live with her and her husband.

Leon Kendall wrote early in August that AndyScarlett had recently been to The Beachcomber for lunch, and Leon says Andy appears to be greatly improved. That's good news.
