I am writing this from Florida. The weather here is wonderful: from our living room we look directly across Tampa Bay at the Skyway Bridge to St. Petersburg and a mile drive the other way we have the Gulf of Mexico.

Jane and I don't swim but lots of young folks love the warm water. New Year's day I saw all three of the Bowl games on T.V. All were very exciting, fought down to the last ten seconds.

All of us ten men of '05 are fighting old age successfully. We received Christmas cards from all ten, for which Jane and I extend our heartfelt thanks.

Bill Blatner used a card from Charles Dickens' works that was very effective. FredChase is enjoying life in Dunedin, cared for by two nurses and with the company of many good friends.

C.C. Hills had the flu bug at Christmas time, so did not go to see his daughter in Miami. We three are arranging a dinner in St. Petersburg in the near future.

Bob Falconer sent a very fine Christmas card with best wishes for the future. One he sent to Alva Hatch was returned for a better address. I talked to Alva's daughter in Foley, Ala., and learned she had been in hospital in Jamestown, R.I., but is better. Alva will be 79 on April 7. How about sending her a get well card?

The Trustees will be meeting January 17 and I hope will produce many suggestions for the good of Dartmouth.

Our quota for the 1975 Alumni Fund is raised over last year and will require an all-out effort on the part of us all to meet the goal.

Five friends gave Roger a birthday cake and ice cream on the 10th. It was a very enjoyable affair. I also received a letter from Mike McGean, Secretary of the College, with "Good Wishes for a pleasant winter in Florida and good luck in your continuing and effective work in behalf of the College. And All Congratulations on Your 92nd."

Birthdays coming up: March 12, MaryWilkins, 93 years, our oldest widow; April 8, Fred Chase, 92 years.
