By unanimous vote of the Executive Committee, John McCabe, son of our lamented "Chesty" McCabe, has been elected an honorary member of the class of 1905. Because John brought his father so kindly in recent years to our reunions and always fitted in with us so pleasantly, we have come to feel that he is one of us. I know that the class will be delighted at this very acceptable addition to our numbers. We hope that John will continue to attend our reunions.

Fred Weston has established something of a record by keeping at work for forty years without taking a vacation. As his health is not too good, perhaps he would do well to break his record and take a leave of absence. Because of several narrow escapes from reckless drivers on the road he is planning to give up driving. Fred attended the Great Issues Convocation this fall at Hanover.

Fred Chase has improved in health but he feels that he must regretfully give up his Bequest Chairmanship. We are sorry, too, but realize he must conserve his energy. We hope his winter sojourn in Florida will renew his strength.

Congratulations to Halsey Loder. Last May at an impressive ceremony with some 25 others, "Doc" was presented with a gold medal by the Massachusetts Medical Association in recognition of his fifty years of membership.

We have to record two deaths this month. Harry Peyser passed on October 13. Endowed with a keen mind, "Py" had devoted his abilities to a wide range of public services all through his life in his native city of Portsmouth, N. H. Two days later, October 15, Ross Wilmot found release from a long illness. He was one of the youngest members of our class. Ross will long be remembered for his energetic activity and his friendly smile.

We have a rather long list of changes of address: John Furfey, 230 Walnut St., Newtonville 60, Mass.; Maxfield Cook, 7404. Monta Vista, La Jolla, Calif.; Verney Russell, 3909 Sunrise Park Drive, Yakima, Wash. Also, off for their winter homes: John Bell, 313 Turner St., Apt. si, Clearwater, Fla.; Chester Moore, 21 Beaumont, North, Kissimmee, Fla.

As these notes were being finished, this interesting news reached me: "On Saturday, Oct. 22, Atty. William D. Blatner and Miss Dorothy Hinchcliffe were married at the Blatner home by the Rev. John Kettlewell of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in the presence of a few friends. In November they plan to move into the new brick Williamsburg-type house which they have bought at the corner of Fulton and River Streets, Geneva." The congratulations and warmest best wishes of the class go to Bill and Dorothy. May they have many happy years together in their new home.
