The death of Mrs. Albert R. Everts of Weston, Mass., Wally Ross's widow Helen, has been reported, as has that of Bessie Edwards Newton, widow of Jonah Jay Newton of La Plata, Md.

James Hitchcock, M.D., is living with friends in Rye, N.Y., since the death of his wife Marion Reed on October 12. They had celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on October 12.

Dean Francis H. Bird had the pleasure of entertaining a former graduate student of his and wife at his home in Cincinnati, Ohio, during October. He had been entertained by them on several of his trips to London.

Drs. Reginald H. and Mary W. Colley made their annual pilgrimage to the committee meeting of the American Wood-Preservers Association held this year in September at San Diego, Cal. On their way home they visited their daughter Beatrice (Mrs. Mitchell Kofelt) at her home in Cula Vista, Cal.

Edward D. Rich celebrates his 91st birthday on December 16, and Francis H. Bird celebrates his 89th on December 23. Walter A. Sidley celebrates his 92nd on January 5, 1977.
