We marvel at the continued excellent physical condition of Elliot Sharp when we read about his tennis activity right up to the present time. Let me quote from a recent letter he wrote to Duze Lounsberry. "This year the New England Tennis Association and the U. S. Tennis Association have included a class for ages 80 to 85, and I was asked to compete in the New England championships in doubles a few weeks ago. My partner from Texas and I won the Paul Revere Bowl indicative of the championship. I am leaving tomorrow to compete in the national singles and possibly doubles." Mighty good, I say, for a person who will be 86 years old in October.

A letter from Hugh Courtright tells of his lovely view over Lincoln Park from his apartment on Lake Shore Drive in Chicago. He claims to be in good health from his waist up but spends much time in a wheel chair by reason of the failure of his legs to support him. We wish he could come, wheelchair and all, to our fall reunion.

Paul Vining writes of the celebration of their 55th wedding anniversary. He also states that he goes into Springfield daily to his office.

As I wrote these notes the final report of the 1977 Alumni Fund arrived in the mail. What a remarkable job the entire Alumni Fund Committee has done to exceed their objective of $4,500,000. Fifteeners can be proud of our fund team under Duze's leadership for winning another Green Derby. Congratulations!

Leo Burt writes to Chink telling of the death of his son on March 9. The sympathy of the entire Class goes out to Leo on the occasion of his loss.

Gus Braun, who lived for years at Leisure World, Lakewood, N. J., has moved to Masonic Home & Charity Foundation, Burlington, N. J.

We were saddened quite recently upon hearing that Esther Chamberlain, wife of our treasurer Chink, had passed away on August 17 in Plymouth, Mass., after an extended stay in a nursing home. We remember with such pleasure her presence at a number of our reunions before her illness. The sympathy of all 'lsers goes out to Chink and his son and daughter.
