Milt Mclnnes, our newsletter editor, has embarked, on an already highly successful program of regional news reporting. Witness an 85 per cent response from the New Hampshire delegation, a natural choice for the kickoff of the program. You will find the "Thirtyteer" loaded with detailed news of your classmates. Read all about it and collect your thoughts for submitting your resume when the rollcall reaches your state. This column will be carrying some of the highlights of those reports to ensure that alumni in general will be able to keep in touch with their 1930 friends.

Paul Duback is still practicing law in Milwaukee and spends winters in Florida. WinDurgin has acquired a home in Florida as well as moved from his native Lewiston to Poland Springs. In May, Vivian and Shaw Cole visited Ojai and enjoyed a meeting with the Rodis,Marrs, Weavers, and Wis Clarks. Shaw takes his vice presidential duties seriously and is our round-the-girdled-earth representative as well as ambassador to Sakonnet, R.I. California and Florida seem to do a better job on mini-reunions than do we New Englanders. For example, MiltShultz's Fourth of July fireworks party at Sarasota attracted the Bob Blanchards, Fitzpatricks, Goulds, Wiggins, and Wilson Wrights.

H. Archer Clark Jr. died on August 6, and our sympathy is extended to Janet and their family. An editorial oversight resulted in an incomplete sentence in Rollie Booma's obituary in the June issue of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE. The second sentence should have read, "He was president and general manager for many years of Booma-Breed Inc., a fuel oil and heating equipment company in Swampscott."

Fred Bowes (New Canaan) has been ele president of the Fairfield County Council of Scouts of America. Fred retired in 1973 after 43 years with Pitney Bowes. Al Smith, dean of correspondents, lives in Temple and is concerned with controlling the urbanization of that area, the proper use of governmental grants to the elderly, apple husbandry, the price of cat food, and the Dartmouth College administrative philosophy. Annie is very active on the New Hampshire Commission on the Status of Women. John Sanders is a partner in the law firm of Upton, Sanders & Smith. A widower since 1973, John maintains homes in Concord and Rye Beach, "each with adequate guest facilities, which I hope some classmate sometime will use." Daughter Sarah is married to John Herschler '64, a glaucoma surgeon, and son Branch (UNH '70) has just completed law school. Fellow poker player Ben Demers continues his career interests by serving as a member of an appeals tribunal for adjudication of unemployment compensation claims and as treasurer of the New Hampshire State Employees Federal Credit Union. Golf handicap 14. Tammie is directing sacred dance choirs at St. John Church, although she has given up her dancing school.

Jeff Jeffrey served as reporter-photographer for the Rochester, N.H. Courier for many years but now classifies himself as a special columnist who is at the office a couple days a week "and in the meantime fights the cold in the winter and the heat in the summer." Bob Rix (Manchester) retired from orthopedic surgery a couple of years ago but has found other employment, working for Margaret as financial advisor and kitchen assistant, and serving as a working member of the Downtown Marching and Errand Society. "Everyone who finishes is a winner in his own right," Frank Ryder told the Falmouth Enterprise, Cape Cod's Most Interesting Newspaper, after completing the 7.1-mile Woods Hole-to-Falmouth Heights road race in August. The oldest native finisher, Frank also allowed as how he has just lived a normal life: "I ran the cross country as a freshman at Dartmouth." Finishing also and perhaps earlier, was grandson F. Clark Wickersham, aged 11. Dot and Frank divide their living each year between Cambridge and Woods Hole.

Lynne Chait writes, "I should like to tell you that we just celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary, and it all began in Hanover." She and Maurie were married April 6, 1927.
