Effective July 1, 1978, Robert Bell will be promoted to associate professor of English with tenure at Williams College, where he has been teaching since 1972 after receiving his Ph.D. from Harvard.
Richard Clapp has been appointed director of the Massachusetts lead paint poison prevention program. A graduate of the Harvard School of Public Health, Dick formerly headed a similar program while serving as executive director of the Lynn, Mass., Community Health and Counseling Center.
In February, John Lewis married Cindy Secton (Georgetown Univ. '68). John graduated from Columbia Law School in 1974 and is currently with the firm of Proskauer, Rose, Goetz and Mendelsohn in New York.
Sam Stonefield has been appointed to a two-year term as associate commissioner of the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, representing western Massachusetts. Sam received his law degree from Harvard and is presently the managing attorney of the Western Massachusetts Legal Assistance Program.
A letter from Anthony Blecher brought the news that he is a division controller in the White Papers Group of International Paper Company. His wife Carol is marketing research director with an advertising agency in New York.
In August 1976 Curt Anderson married Christine J. Omdahl. They are living in Cambridge, Mass., where Curt's firm, Sonitrol Security Systems of Boston, is located.
Dr. William Gerber took office in January as president of the California State Board of Medical Quality Assurance. He is acting director of the University of California San Francisco family practice residency program at San Francisco General Hospital and holds the academic title of assistant professor, division of ambulatory and community medicine, School of Medicine.
Robert Ruxin is in private practice in internal medicine in Ridgefield, Conn. He and his wife Sue have two children - Josh 6, and Lisa 4.
Six months of the year home for Dave Larson is the nuclear ballistic missile submarine, USS Sam Rayburn, where he is a Lt. Commander serving as navigation/operations officer. The rest of the year he lives with his wife Mobby and their sons, Eric 5, and Mark 2, in Gales Ferry, Conn.
