We've received some mail.

Oz Bliss writes: "Still a semi-retired insurance broker with Childs & Wood (Don Wood '33). Since Congress and Social Security have decided that semi-retired old goats age 69 stink, it might be wise to retire fully. Next year they might legislate that age 70 semi-retireds should simply be shot.

"See AI Wolff frequently. Fred Slaughter continues to be my good customer and booster of my River Forest son. The noted orator, BobBiesel, spoke to our Kiwanis Club and I see him frequently riding the train. Have been on the phone with Bones Crane and expect to see him in Florida next month. Alex Harroun '30 lives across the street from me, and they had us over for dinner when Bob Baumrucker and wife were passing through and spending the night."

Bunce Clarkson from West Lebanon: "We are gradually getting settled and know that we are going to love it here. Seems as though there is a lot to swallow in a short time. Having our son here helps a lot. This coming week we will return to Worcester to clean up some odds and ends of business and then return to face the colder weather."

Ralph Maynard from Penang, Malaysia: "Am still out peddling. Just missed Bill Steck in his office in Cleveland a few weeks ago, but his secretary said he was still hard at it. Bitten and I are going to the Yale game and will be at Bonnie Oaks in Fairlee October 11-14. Hope to see you and all classmates attending. Saw the Cogswells in June at son Stephens commencement."

The following were furnished by JohnCogswell:

Bernie Boyle: "Have tickets for Penn game but may stay home and watch Yale-Brown game. However, we have reservations for two nights at the Inn over Yale game, so we'll be there then. Staying over two weeks longer than our usual migration to Naples. We've had our annual summer, golf matches with John Benson,Joe Clough, and Cliff McDonald."

Joe Choate: "No news is good news. Alive, well, and happy after 42 years with the same beautiful woman!"

Len Clark: "See you over the 14th. Both of our kids will be there and five grandchildren! Staying with Harriet Wolff in Plainfield. Guess we had better come early and get the Green Machine cranked up after that 0-35."

Skip Clow: "Very busy following the Red Sox and crying about them from time to time."

Spence Cram: "This part of North Carolina is an oasis for Dartmouth graduates. Odd too, for the mountains are reminiscent of the White Mountains. All is well on the middle southern front."

Dan Denham: "Greetings from sunny Florida, which continues to be pretty hot, even though it is now mid-September. See '3lers Dick Henry and Larry Tucker at Dartmouth luncheons and expect Ori Hobbs back next month. As you know, we have a strong Dart- mouth group down here."

Charlie Dwyer: "Too hot for golf; gone punk anyway. Took an auto trip late August to Nova Scotia and Cape Breton. Yarmouth to Portland by ship. Good weather and visibility."

Jim Frame: "Beckwiths due here next week en route to Florida. Betty Beckwith getting over a mild coronary. 'Tis hell to get old, but, as someone said, 'Consider the alternative.' "

George Frankel, referring to the note on the bottom of the class dues bill: "With doggerel like that, I almost didn't pay. However, since I doubt that I could do any better, here it is."

Bob Fraser: "We just returned from our four-month freighter trip to Australia and New .Zealand. Six weeks on north and south islands of New Zealand. Then we had the good fortune to be invited on a private yacht for a look at the Greek Islands. Tough life!"

Jim Godfrey: "Bunny and I spent two weeks of July on a dude ranch in Jackson Hole, Wyo. It is reassuring to find we are still flexible enough to ride horseback."

Sher Guernsey: "We recently returned from our Alaskan journey. What scenery andresources! Only 400,000 people up there, but they are all enthusiastic."

Mil Hallenbeck: "Hope the mini-reunion goes well and we take Yale again. Maybe Marion and I can join you all in '79."

Frank Hodson: "Gwen and I hope to get up Hanover way sometime this fall."

Ted Johnson: "Yesterday I met SpenceMiller in the bank, looking particularly happy and relaxed in his retirement and wearing a very natty cap. He told me that he and AIMcLean were heading on October 7 for a football game in Hanover.

"The Johnsons and the Irv Bettmans are missing their usual autumn get-together because the latter are heading west to see some of their young people.

"John and Ellen Chamberlain paid us a little visit in our White Mountain hideaway at the time of Alumni College. Good reunion."
