Just a few words to let you all know that my lovely wife Ethel had a stroke in February and was rushed to the Doctors' Hospital in Worcester. She lived only a few days and died early Sunday morning, March 5. A memorial service was held on March 8 at the Williams Funeral Home in Upton. Ethel will be buried at the Lakeview Cemetery, Upton, in the family lot.

Ethel always liked to attend our Class of 1907 reunions to meet you good folks. She loved Dartmouth College!

I miss her greatly and am very lonely at home here in West Upton, Mass., at 5 West Main Street. I am receiving many sympathy cards, which helps.
