The Time magazine issue of September 17 had a feature story and picture of DaveMcLaughlin. His concern over a national water policy was succinctly spelled out in an article entitled "Water, Water — Where?" Good reading about a serious subject. Lyon M. Greenberg was recently elected to the Otolaryngological Fellowship of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Lyon lives in Albany and is a clinical associate professor in the division of otolaryngology at Albany Medical College and is on the attending staffs at Albany Medical Center, St. Peter's Hospital, Children's Hospital, and the Albany Memorial Hospital. Bryce F. Bastian is back from Makati Rizal, Philippines, and is now with the Singer Company at its corporate offices at 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York City. Welcome back, Bryce.

I had the opportunity to watch the Princeton- Dartmouth football game in September. Although the score wasn't so great, the weather was lovely and Hanover was Hanover in the early fall. We saw some reunion hats, which make it so easy to spot classmates now. JackChristy, Dave Grogan, Bill Petty (now living in Fairfield, Conn.), and Charlie Morrison, up from Boston, were all on hand for the game. Dick Fowler's Dartmouth Co-Op was doing a land-office business before the game. JonathanMoore was in Hanover consulting with President Kemeny about the the Three Mile project and had to miss the game.

Robert P. Curtis has moved to San Francisco, and Ed Godfrey, formerly with the Pentagon in Washington, has joined Seventh Fleet operations out of San Francisco. More '54 classmates on the move include Jim Grady, who has left Paramus, N.J., and is now in Bangor, Maine. Charles Gruning has moved from Jamesville, N.Y., to Livonia, Mich. Kenn Patterson has left the shores of Lake Michigan for Ottawa, Ontario, and Glenn Wesselmann deserted New Jersey for Grosse Pointe Shores, Mich. And that ends all the news for this month!

"Vox Clamantis in Scarsdale!" When Steve Mullins asked me to take over the writing of this column back in June, I frankly thought there would be a plethora of news items for me to wade through each month and that I would sort of act as a city desk editor and decide which items would be included. Wrong! Let me explain a bit how this works, now that I have written three columns. I have to submit my column on the first of the month prior to the month of publication. For example, I'm writing this on September 30, and will put it in the mail tonight to make my deadline. But you won't see it till about the third or fourth week in November. Happy Thanksgiving! The classes of 1952 to 1979 are permitted 1000 words each month. This month's column is only approximately 650 words in length. The alumni office sent me just one news release in the past four weeks, and that concerned Lyon Greenberg's appointment. They also sent me several change-of-address cards, so that is how I learned about the various classmate moves. Attending the Princeton game gave me some additional news which I reported. However, here I am — out of gas, so to speak. I can't invent news about you, so I really would like you to keep me posted on any news that will be of interest in this volumn.

I have an aunt, Mary Lodge, who lives in Arizona and travels a lot, so I will start telling you about her trips if I don't get more news about the class of 1954. Please give me a hand in this effort ... better yet, please send me a note about yourself or anyone you have seen lately.
