The best news coming to your secretary was that the College awarded George R. S. von Kapff and the Class of 1918 the Roger C. Wilde 1921 Reunion Award for the extraordinary achievement of setting a new 60th reunion record in the 1978 Alumni Fund - $54,188.

By this time George and lone Woodruff are installed at Turban 6806, Shell Point Village, Fort Myers, Fla. 33901. In this terminal care retirement place are other Dartmouth folk.

Bill Pepin continues his medical practice, for his patients are old friends. He and Anne continue to climb in the White Mountains.

The random letter brought from Hal Glendening a graphic description of a big party of 1500 guests of Mr. and Mrs. Pierre S. duPont at Longwood back in 1934. Just as Hal was to visit his son, he had the misfortune to break a hip.

Last summer Homer Johnson drove 7,000 miles visiting a daughter, two sons, eleven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren, plus brothers Paul '20 and Edwin '22. He misses his wife of over 53 years.

Don and Ethel Barr wrote that they entertained the Stoddards for some holiday cheer, that the Van Raaltees are in Palm Beach, and that Reed and Hitty Montgomery went to Texas to spend Christmas with a daughter.

Henry (Monk) Cameron lost his wife Ethel last June, but he continues to live the life of a country gentleman on the bank of the Hudson. With a new Volkswagen Rabbit he toured the Catskills, visited roommate Max Olney in the latter's beautiful home in Westerville, N.Y., called on Dot Mahoney in Scarsdale and got hurt with a $15 fine for speeding on the New York thruway.

Ed and Clara Felt back in Texas drove north into the hills for branches of cedar for Christmas decorations. From his life of marketing he rates three replies to the random letter excellent. Wonder how he made a living?

In Keene at the annual Southwestern New Hampshire Dartmouth Club dinner, Harold Kendal and George von Kapff were applauded as oldest alumni present.

Gene and Betty Clark via phone found Edith Wiley doing well. The Clarks' granddaughter, returning from Australia, matriculated at Humbolt State University.

Tom Jones spent the holidays with brother Charles at Bradenton, Fla. Wife Martie and her sister plan a western trip while he remains home to walk the daily two miles.

Mortimer and Gertrude Coon had the pleasure of seeing a grandson graduate from Spring Garden College in architectural engineering and a granddaughter from County Skill Center in nursing. Mort keeps busy with his garden and a variety of civic organizations.

George Stoddard has reserved a block of rooms for 1918 at the Hanover Inn for September 22 for the Princeton game, at which time a pre-game party will be held with 1917 and 1919. Write Florence Carey for your room; they are hard to get in the area.

Since last report, the following classmates have departed this world: Irving Rand, Howard Russell, J. Donald Snyder, Edward Healey, Robert Williams, Edward Garvey, and James Bingham.- Sympathy on behalf of the Class has been sent to their families and obituaries have been prepared for the obituary section.
