The last four weeks have given us an opportunity to visit with many classmates who flocked to Florida to avoid the cold.

Joe Byram, the secretary of the Dartmouth Club of Naples, invited all of our classmates on the southeast coast of Florida to participate in his club's installation of new officers and to hear Bill Morton give the main address for this auspicious occasion. Roz and Bill Brister joined Addie and Whip Walser for the trip to Naples early in February and were entertained at a cocktail party given by Bill and Sonya Allyn at their beautiful house facing the Gulf in that charming city. Other classmates and their wives living either as permanent or winter residents of Naples joined us. Ed and Greta d'Ancona and James Dillon, whom we had not seen in many years. joined us for the festivities and helped make up a full table of '32ers. At the head table, Bill Allyn, who had just been elected president of the Dartmouth Club of Naples, introduced Bill Morton, whose speech was one of the finest we have ever heard on Dartmouth affairs. Bill covered his activities as a hardworking trustee of the College, and his very interesting talk included all facets of the College, such as the medical school, admissions, ROTC, fraternities, alumni funds, etc., etc. He spoke from a business point of view - succinct and to the point. At the end of his speech Bill fielded many questions about Dartmouth's present and future policies, and he received a standing ovation from some 125 people in attendance. Anyone lucky enough to get Bill to address his or her club or reunion is very fortunate, to say the least.

We were pleased to know that Bill and PegMorton are currently completing a winter house in Ocean Ridge on the east coast of Florida and hope to see them more often in this area.

Ed d'Ancona is still active in the advertising business in Naples with Reynolds Enterprises and is an accomplished illustrator and artist. He is art director of Naples Guide and NaplesNow magazines. He believes that he would never have been a commercial artist if he had not sat next to Abner Dean in a zoology laboratory class almost 50. years ago! JamesDillon, from Wilmington, Dela., spends his winters in Naples and has been retired since 1973. He is an avid golfer and fisherman.

Bill Brister stayed on in Naples to compete in the over-60 tennis tournament that was taking place at that time, while the Walsers returned to the east coast to prepare for their first '32 mini-reunion, which took place February 10 at their home in Hollywood.

On a not too sunny and windy day Francesand John Almert (who said in accepting the invitation, "My first contact with the class of 1932 in 40 years, so hope I'll recognize somebody!"), Hank and Isabel Barber, Ted and JudyEllis, Milt and Lillian Alpert, Ev and JaneSturhman, and surprise guests Dick and Margo Cleaves, met for an afternoon and evening of good companionship, good drinks-(I hope), and good victuals. We invited three good friends from the Class of '33 who were in the vicinity, namely Harding Macdonna and Jack and Dottie Manchester.. We hope Marv Chandler, AlexChristie, Bob McConnochie, Larry Milgroom,John Sheldon, and Bill Brister can join us for future minis.

Dick Cleaves is now residing in St. Petersburg during the winters and is planning to return to his villa in Estepona, Spain, for the summer. From a postcard that Bo Wentworth sent from the Costa del Sol in Spain we know that he was trying to locate Dick there. Dick's new U.S.A. address is #603 Ambassador Bldg., 7400 Sun Island Drive So., South Pasadena, Fla. 33707.

Fortunately, Dick had not forgotten his English nor his skill as a poker player after residing in Spain for three years, and we were all happy to see him closer to Dartmouth activities. He is looking forward to the visit of BillBritten and Jack Whitcomb to St. Petersburg in the near future. We have also heard from Joe Byram that he recently bumped into CarlosBaker, who is visiting for a couple of months on the west coast of Florida.

John Sheldon wrote us from Chicago on February 1 as follows, "This is my first day of full retirement from the business world - and I think I'm going to enjoy it." He was coming down for a stay in Tequesta, Fla., to be a neighbor of the Marv Chandlers in the condominium they own in that same city. Marv makes his home in Florida during the winter and at Carmel, Calif., in the summer. We understand that Marv will have his own mini-reunion this summer in Carmel.

Our good president John Zimmerman wanted more mini-reunions around the country, and from our own experience we know it will do much to build up an even more enthusiastic group of '32ers in preparation for our 50th in 1982.

Your obedient servant,
