Art's daughter Eleanor sent some pictures she took at reunion in June delightful reminders of a pleasant time together: Art spent a week with her in August, giving them a chance to catch up after her being away on an Alaskan cruise in July. They were anticipating a visit in September from Art's daughter Laura from Madison, Wis. They will all gather in Eleanor's apartment "a bit crowded, but it's 'family,' and we'll manage." Tilly Elliott (Mrs. Mike) was in the East in September visiting Mike's family.
I continue to make my headquarters in Minnesota but have been traveling. I went to California for a grandson's wedding in July and to the North Shore of Lake Superior for a week and hope to escape a part of the Minnesota winter.
I have just received notice of the death of Kenneth Phelps who died September 9 after a long illness. An obituary for him will appear in next month's MAGAZINE.
