After months full of activity, your secretary approaches the November issue with a real scarcity of news. However, he has been very busy on other matters. We are going ahead without filling the president spot. The vacant space will be, for the present, a continuing memorial to Pop. It was a rare privilege to work with him. Without exception, when our letters discussed some item of class business, it ended with his approval of my suggestions, sometimes when I wished he would not agree so quickly.
A new address: Rev. Charles M. Hall, 5 Peach Blossom Lane, Greenville, R.I. 02828. And a correction to Florence Richardson's new address, announced last month. It should-be "521 North Highland Ave., Los Angeles, California 90036."
We received from Bert Thwing an unsealed letter containing the vest-pocket class directory as of 1970. We made the corrections, plenty of them, and returned the book with a note. We hope that Bert will respond and tell us in a few words his present mode of life.
For our Mabel Greeley item, we go back a couple of months. We had asked her if she remembered General Knox. "We knew him quite well. On our 15th Reunion, he followed me around with a shawl, or umbrella, or whatever the weather called for. I loved it. But 'Life' didn't think much of it."
Have you an amusing anecdote?
