The class executive committee met in Hanover on October 18, and while I was unable to attend, there were enough '77s there to cheer Dartmouth on to a sound defeat of Harvard. Events of the weekend, including a report on the many '77s in Hanover for the game, were relayed to me by Rich Bane.

While it may seem a bit early, Rich has asked that I mention that our fifth-year reunion is scheduled for June 18-20, 1982. Mark your calendars now! Because the class of 1977 is the largest class to have graduated from Dartmouth, our reunion will also be one of the largest. Rich, our reunion chairman, needs lots of help and he is looking for regional volunteers to represent various geographic areas and help him coordinate the events. Anyone interested in helping can contact Richie by writing him at 380 Harvard Street, Cambridge, Mass., 02138.

In control at the executive committee meeting was fearless leader Bill Hooper. Hoops put in an appearance all the way from California where he and Kurt Reimann are both attending Stanford Business School. Is it true that the only reason these two were accepted is because the admissions director for the B-school is a Dartmouth grad (class of '72)? Bill is also engaged and plans to marry Julie Terrell (her brother Steve is a '78) on December 27.

A phone call from Hoops let me know that he and half the class attended Freddie Kramer's wedding on August 23. John and Cindy Douglass, Mark Berthiaume, John Hart, Gary Rogers, John McKeon, Mike Brigham, Brian McCloskey, Ken Joiner, and John Carroll created havoc at the country club in Worcester as they cheered on the golfers coming in on the last hole.

The '77 contingent at Harvard Business School has settled into their studies after busy summers. Peter Mills worked for Castle & Cook (supermarket foods) in San Francisco. Mac Taylor was employed by Paine Webber in New York and Mark Seigel did sales and trading for Goldman Sachs. Dave Wood spent his summer working for American Express while Rich Bane and Doug Cogswell did consulting work with Bain & Company. Doug plans to return to work there full-time upon graduation when he will join Chris Jenny who graduated from Harvard Business School last year.

Also in Boston is Jenny Guimond who is a loan officer with the First National Bank of Boston. Those of you looking for jobs in that area might try Betsey Fauver who is in the personnel department of Shawmut Bank in Boston.

Not everyone has settled in Boston, however. Tim Foster is in his second year at Tuck School and is living in Thetford. He spent the summer selling wood stoves for a small Vermont casting company. Leigh Allen is engaged and is working for A.D.P. in New York. Steve Silver has moved to New Jersey, and though no one knows what he is doing, he's been spotted driving a "hot" new B.M.W,

Jim Truncellito and Steve Myers are still racing to see who can sell the most insurance in the state of New Hampshire. Steve is living in Keene and Jim still resides in Manchester.

Lastly, mention must be made of JeffReidinger who three years after graduating is still getting mileage out of a senior paper. He is now at the University of Washington Law School and is working with a professor on land development in third-world countries. That happens to have been the subject of Jeff s senior paper (used for three different classes at Dartmouth!) and three years later it's still going strong.

In closing, I will remind you to send your class dues and will make a promise that the Royals will be back!
