Jim and Mary Davis are now at Carlisle, Mass., living in a house opposite to the one occupied by their son. With other relatives in the vicinity, I am sure they will be happy there. Stu Russell had a slight operation in August, which prevented the annual trip north. At last report, Stu was doing well. Chet DeMond had a heart attack in June but Virginia reports he is much better. They have been in Connecticut for the summer.

The San Treats were in Rockport, Mass., for the summer, where San has been painting. Bob Paisley reports the humidity of the past several months has bothered him, but outside of that he is "about the same." Kitty Larmon made her annual visit to Emily Gale. Dick Gale '6O has been made president of the Dartmouth Club of Northern California.

Bri Greeley was given a big party in celebration of his birthday by Louise. Larry McCutcheon spent the summer at Lake

Taxaway, N.C. Lil Colwell died early in August at the home of her son in Vermont. It was not unexpected, as she had been ill for some time.

Doris Chesson writes to express her appreciation for the book given by the class in memory of Harold.

Your secretary goes along about as usual. The summer was broken up by a trip to Oneonta, N.Y. Incidentally, Bea and I celebrate our 55th wedding anniversary this October.
