We were saddened by the death of Max Norton. He has been a stalwart in class affairs ever since our matriculation in 1915. He served the College in many capacities, including as graduate manager of athletics and bursar. He was active in the work of the Mary Hitchcock Hospital, and a recent history of the hospital was dedicated to him. A more complete obituary will be published in this or a future issue. A memorial service was held in Rollins Chapel, and in attendance from the class were Kitty Larmon, Nick Sandoe, JohnMcCrillis, and Spider Martin.
Virginia DeMond plans to move to Terre Haute, Ind., to be near her sister. Alida Jewett has sold her home in Hartford, Conn., and moved into an apartment.
Elizabeth Huntoon has moved to North Hill. We see her frequently.
Mary Davis reports all well with her and Jim. They have had lots of relatives who have visited them this summer. A letter from Jane and Stu Russell reports they eat out most of the time. They do not plan to come north this fall.
Larry McCutcheon celebrated his birth day in grand style. Children and grandchildren from all over the country were present.
