Robert B. Bentel was elected a vice presi- dent of Wells Fargo Bank in San Francisco. He is in loan supervision for the retail banking group. Prior to joining Wells Fargo this year, he had been with the Bank of California for 17 years.

Robert G. Freedman was named a vice president in the trust division of the First National Bank of Boston. Bob joined the bank in 1969 as a portfolio manager and since then has held several positions. He is active in com- munity affairs in Marblehead, where he and his two children reside.

Kirk Eveleth 'Bl, daughter of Max Eveleth, had the honor of delivering the Class Day speech for the class of '81; she did a beautiful job and tied together the past and present of the Dart- mouth experience.

Roy Eisenhardt, who is a lawyer and law professor in California, recently became the new president of the Oakland A's. In an article in the San Francisco Chronicle, Roy says winning and being number one are not enough. The success of the club has made the management aware of the great potential they have for achieving many positive things for the community, and they are totally committed to this undertaking. There is a real concern for the fan, and, through studies made with various organizations such as the Easter Seal group and Lighthouse for the Blind they are focusing on making games more com- fortable and accessible for the disabled as well as the blind and deaf.

We were very saddened by the news of the untimely death of one of our classmates, Seth R. Moger of Sacramento, Calif. Seth had a sudden heart attack in September near his home. He had been a counselor at American River College in Placerville, Calif., since 1970. A memorial scholarship fund in his name has been es- tablished at American River College. While at Dartmouth, Seth was a geology major, a member of the varsity football team which won the Ivy League championship in 1958, and a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity and Sphinx, the organization of seniors who have made outstanding contributions to campus life.

Axel L. Grabowsky was named president and chief executive officer of Harte and Com- pany Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dynamit Nobel of America Inc. He was formerly executive vice president with the com- pany.
