Dick and Marian White had a grand experience in Puerto Ballarta, Mexico, during the year end holidays. There were 15 of them, all family, with two cars for transportation. They were the first renters of Liz Taylor's house, which has ten rooms, baths, swimming pool, plus cooks and maids. It was built on a hillside over the town and bay. Because it is a tourist attraction, there were plenty of street visitors. As Dick and Marion were looking over the railing from above, someone seeing them remarked, "Burton's mother and father!" Bill Montgomery sent news clips on Hubie's life to aid your secretary in preparing the obituary for the ALUMNI MAGAZINE, and he wrote, "While Hubie was a state hero and often extolled in sporting pages as an athlete, teacher, coach, and school administrator, little was mentioned of his gymnastic ability. He was captain our senior year and excelled on the parallel bars and as a club swinger. His great modesty covered up his achievements, and possibly only those of us who played with him got to know what a really great guy he was."
