Last January 31, Sherm Adams, our new president, F. G. Moulton, chair of the nominations committee (set up at our June 1980 reunion), Bud Weymouth, newsletter editor, and your secretary convened at the Norwich Inn to discuss replacement of class officer personnel necessitated by the losses of Charlie McGoughran and Jim Chilcott.
We selected Horace E. Dalrymple to be first vice president and Charles F. Crathern to be second vice president, so our class officer organization now stands as follows: President: L. Sherman Adams (Lincoln, N.H.) First Vice President: Horace E. Dalrymple (Derry, N.H.) Second Vice President: Charles F. Crathern (Mason, N.H.) Head Class Agent: Nathaniel Whiteside Jr. (Hinsdale, Ill.) Treasurer: Albert W. Frey (Dresden, Me.) Bequest chair: H. Sheridan Baketel Jr. (Philadelphia, Pa.) Newsletter editor: Burdette E. Weymouth (Lebanon, N.H.) Newsletter Editor Associate and Ladies Representative: Hazel Macomber (Estero, Fla.) Secretary: William A. Carter (Norwich, Vt.)
If Charlie Sargent accepts (negotiations are underway), he will become associate secretary. Thus we arrange continuity should the unforeseeable occur.
The Carters are enjoying their new location. Our upstairs apartment affords a fine view of Baker Library across the river, and we can see beyond to our former home in Etna on Robert Frost Lane, where we spent so many happy years with neighbors Bull and Campion.
Only recently reported is the passing of William A. Quinn on June 21, 1980. Bill was a non-graduate of the class. Very little is known about him, other than that he left no kin. He chose to be non-communicative and inactive.
Hazel Macomber of Florida visited her son Harvey and his family in Phoenix, Ariz., in the spring. Later she returned to Florida, where she met Lydia Hutchinson (Mrs. Paul). The two ladies then flew to Europe to join a cruise ship and tour the Mediterranean.
