Last June, I was involved in a telephone effort for the Alumni Fund and as a result, I spoke with several answering machines, a few wives, a child or two, and a reasonable number of classmates. Some of the following information may be sketchy because my handwriting is terrible and my memory is worse.

Mike Harvey is dean of student affairs at Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, N.Y., and has held that position for the past two years. Before that, he worked at Tufts University. He has a ten-year-old daughter, with whom it was a delight to talk.

Mike Neal is working as director of business planning and market research for Elizabeth Arden.

Jim Ruddock is an architect and an assistant professor of architecture technology at a community college near Baldwinsville, N.Y., where he lives with his wife and two children.

Paul Kellman is-president of New York Metal Recycling in New York City. Paul recently started this company, using experience gained while employed by another outfit that did similar work.

Jim Coplan is a pediatrician and associate profesor at the State University of New York Medical School at Syracuse. Jim works primarily with develop mentally-disabled children and has developed a written-language scale for use with kids from birth to three years old.

Jim Gardner is living in Roswell, Ga., and still works for Procter & Gamble. Jim is into white-water canoeing and has a son who is a freshman in high school. His wife has developed a rather pleasant southern accent.

Bruce Henry, a math teacher at Scarsdale High School, has just retired after 15 years as football coach. Bruce says he plans to spend his extra free time with his own kids rather than somebody else's.

I want to extend a personal note of thanks to Dick Glovsky and his wife, Nancy Korman, who hosted a gathering of classmates at their home in June. Also enjoying the dinner and good talk were Tom and Betty Parks,John and Ivy Leavitt, Lyle and Kathy Nyberg, and Jon and Peggy Hanshus. Dick's wife Nancy writes a weekly column for TheBoston Herald.

Sadly, I must report the death of CharliePester.

Take care and write
