Among this month's news items is word that Bob Olson wed Megan Thomas '79 on December 30. Bob is a reconstructive plastic surgeon in practice in Princeton, N.J., and an assistant clinical professor of surgery and biomedicine at the Rutgers Medical School. His wife is a book managing editor for Wiley Medical, a division of John Wiley and Sons, a New York publisher.
Gardiner Perry writes that he is continuing in the ministry and is increasingly involved in teaching tennis at a local tennis club.
We hear that the Tim Dreisbach clan has picked up and moved to Pittsburgh, where Tim is vice president, marketing and sales, with a start-up firm.
Tom Price is finishing his second year of a fellowship in clinical cardiology at Harlem Hospital in New York City. He began the fellowship after being in a group practice for two years. According to Tom, "The fellowship was intellectually stimulating and a stern lesson in budgeting restraint. I married Patricia Hayling (Colgate '76) one and a half years ago. It was the best move I ever made."
Ken George writes: "I am currently going for an M.B.A. at the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. My wife and my two-year-old son left with me from London, where we had lived since 1975.I had founded a container leasing business which is still going, based in London, and decided to build on my intuitive business skills with some professional training."
From John Shanahan: "We missed seeing people at the Harvard game this year, but travel with a five-, three-, and one-year-old gets a little hairy for weekend trips. We still manage to view three to five games a year that are a little closer to home. We baked in the sun at the Army game with Jon and Janet Oplinger '70 and their two kids. The game was one of the most uncalled-for losses ever."
That's all for now. We'll be back next month.
