Time is something we sometimes do not have enough of, and this month's column is a reflection of that in my case. I am writing this on my one day home this month, since coincidence dictated a West Coast trip for MIT as well as early departure for annual Navy Reserve active duty for training, this year with a joint NATO staff in Iceland. So in the space of a few days I go from beach weather in Los Angeles (I didn't get a chance to swim) and rain in Seattle to expected blizzard conditions in Iceland (normal this time of year). My body will catch up with me in a few days after it makes the eight to nine-hour time-zone shift.

Time had an impact in another way by running out before I could contact a few of you for newsworthy items. The barrel is empty, and I need some help to fill it up. Send a note to me at the above address and you'll enliven the days of your classmates.

The one person I did reach was Bill Webster, our friendly class agent. He reminded me that our class goal for this year is a modest $100,000, with 515 or more classmates participating. The participation figure is most important (515 would be a record 72 percent) to provide a broad base of support for the College. You soon will receive mail and or a phone call from one of your classmates with a request, and I can tell you that it's very satisfying to respond.

Whether you haven't been back to Hanover since graduation or go back frequently, remember the mini-reunion this fall, with preferred seating for the Harvard game. This is just a taste of a camaraderie and fellowship which will also be a part of our 20th in June 1985. So come for the appetizer or just because it's a good time to be in Hanover but come. There's plenty of room; come alone or bring the family.

'Nuff for now. Keep the faith (and let me know what you're up to).
