Of course you all made a valiant effort at answering the questions in last month's issue of the Alumni Magazine. However, just in case you were not able to identify those faces correctly through ten years of post-graduation development, I will provide you with my answers. On page 151 of our Aegis you might have thought that there were a lot of people who didn't look like Dartmouth students, but all of them are, with the exception of the Honorable Mo Udall. You remember, he and Pat Paulsen ran neck and neck in one of the primaries.

Perhaps more challenging is the identification of the robust one on page 344 the fellow with the shades and moustache. The beer bottle is a giveaway. The man is none other than our very own Frank Muller. Frank, as you may recall, had a part-time job driving pickup trucks filled with relatively heavy silver canisters.

With the reminiscing behind us, it is time to turn to the business at hand... news about you. Os Skinner, secretary of the class of 1928, was nice enough to send along a clipping from the March 3 issue of The NewYork Times announcing the marriage of SusanCory to Peter Smith. Since graduation Susan received a master's degree in architecture from a lesser known institution in Cambridge whose colors are crimson and white, and she is a principal in the architectural firm Cory Associates in Boston. Peter is a general partner in the Cottonwood Company, a residential real estate developer in Boston.

This month I decided to begin a dialing-for-dollars campaign and, of course, came up empty on the first call. Linda Allen is difficult to track down, although I believe she is doctoring somewhere around Miami. Maybe she was at the beach when I called. Send a postcard. I hit the jackpot with a call to Dan Skorich. I should probably say that it was Rosie Skorich Dan merely transmitted all of Rosie's info. The Skoriches are doing fine in Wisconsin with two little ones, Danielle, five, and Stefan, two and a half. Dan and Rosie recently returned from a vacation to Washington and northern Minnesota (you guys have something against Florida?). Dan's on the home stretch of his residency in ophthalmology.

During their vacation, Dan and Rosie bumped into Mr. and Mrs. Mike Peters. Mike is in the middle of his radiology work and apparently doing quite well. Dan described a palatial estate overlooking Puget Sound. I knew I should have taken organic chemistry.

In the long-lost graduate department, word of Bill Montanile and his family filters back from Saudi Arabia. Bill and his wife, Heather, are raising two children in circumstances quite different from those to which most of us are accustomed. Bill is apparently doing some medical/technology consulting work for the hospital system there.

Rick Walker was also nice enough to answer the phone when it rang, although he promises to screen the calls more carefully from now on. For the last three years Rick has been executive director of South Shore Industries in Marshfield, Mass. South Shore Industries gainfully employs approximately 160 workers who are mentally retarded or psychiatrically disabled. Many of these people have been institutionalized most of their lives, and Rick's operation is giving them perhaps their only chance to contribute to society and feel good about themselves. Keep up the good work, Rick; I'm sure it is tremendously rewarding.

Finally, I'm sorry; I know I promised, but Bill Cahill would not forgive me if, at this time of year, I didn't at least remind you of this year's Alumni Fund. So please don't forget that check and your matching gift form, and try to increase your gift just a bit. Thanks.
