Think about it: by August you are going to need a break from the rigors of life in the fast lane, right? Just about then you will need a relaxing, calming, full-of-fun weekend. And it can be yours!! Tom Burack has planned a weekend for '82s at Moosilauke, August 9 - 11. Tom has rented, exclusively for us, the Class of '65 Bunkhouse, plus part of another bunkhouse, to offer more than 30 beds (sheets and pillows included) at $8 a night. (Try to beat those prices anywhere else!) Arrangements have been made for movies and square dancing, and there is, of course, a multitude of hiking opportunities. Meals are at a reasonable $3 for breakfast, $3-$4 for lunch, and $4.50-$7.50 for dinner. If you have any specific questions about the weekend, call Tom at 303/674-1271. Enjoy a weekend with fellow '82s and friends in the beautiful mountains of New Hampshire. Call and reserve space for yourself and your friends for any or all of the nights at 603/764-5858. Thanks for all of your efforts, Tom! (Tom planned this in his spare (?) time away from his first-year law studies at the University of Virginia.)

The weather at Green Key Weekend/Class Officers Weekend this year left a bit to be desired, but that certainly didn't dampen the enthusiasm that always permeates the campus on our favorite spring weekend. Our own class president, Philippa Guthrie, deserves our congratulations for being elected president of the Class Presidents Association (gets a bit complicated, doesn't it?), and JohnKing made it in after his consulting stint in Malaysia (for Bain and Company, Boston) and just in time for his June wedding to Rachel Kenzie '81. Linda Bornhuetter and Christi Strauss, both first-year students at the Tuck School, reported on their efforts to organize '82 telethons to increase our participation in the Alumni Fund this year. Unfortunately, our participation was way down last year; so, don't forget to pledge and give to the Alumni Fund this year, and bring the class of 1982 back up to its leading participation position.

Of course, spring is a busy time of year for many of our classmates, and though their spirit was with us as always, they, unfortunately, couldn't make it up to Hanover.

Chemical Bank in New York City has been keeping Resa Labbe busy. In fact, Resa has had a busy few years since we graduated. Before joining Chem Bank's ranks, Resa earned an M.B.A. from Duke University. Also increasing the ranks of the M.B.A.'s within the next year will be Hugh Rovit, who is with many other '82s at Harvard B-School; Ann Lindley, who is pursuing her degree at Columbia; and Bob McNeil, who is presently enrolled in MlT's Sloan Business School. Bob, though, is thinking of legalizing that degree by combining his M.B.A. with a J D

These. Pursuing the J.D. degree sans M.B.A. include Rob Wagner, a first-year student at Boston University Law School; DaveWoll, a first-year law student at Brooklyn Law; and Joe Reinkemeyer, who is finishing his second year at Columbia Law School. This is the year that those of our classmates who entered law school immediately following our graduation will be graduating. To all of the new "Esquires" we send loads of heartfelt congratulations and best wishes.

Medical students, you ask? Where are all of the aspiring doctors in our midst? Well, they have at least one more year to go before earning their M.D.'s. We have '82 med students all over the country: Brad Fanestil is finishing his second year at UKansas Medical School, Dan Geschwind is completing his first year at Yale Med after working for two years at Boston Consulting Group, and BillJarnigan is finishing his first year at Case Western Reserve. (On a matrimonial note, Bill entered that blissful state last summer, just before starting medical school.)

Well, this is the June column, and since I've already broached the subject of marriage, I do believe that I shall add a few more to the public list: Libbet Waterman is engaged to be married and is keeping herself busy not only with wedding planning, but with Health Care Management Consulting, pre-med courses at Columbia, and with the application process for medical school. Linda Papst is engaged to Chuck Cairns, and her time is spent working for the Department of Defense while he spends his time at UNC Medical School, where he is a second-year student. Rick Monteith will be a married man come October. Rick will have to take some time off from his busy job at Morgan Guaranty to whisk his bride away on their honeymoon. Anthony Davis, an engineer with Bell Telephone in D.C., is engaged to Jandel Allen '79, a resident at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia. And a final marriage announcement: Mike McKenna was married to Abigail Kaplan in Bethesda, Md., in February. Mike is attending UMass Medical School.

I would like to send special thanks to Margaret Spring (who is living in Hanover and working hard at two jobs: as a ski area planner and in public relations) and to Craig Bradley (our stellar representative within the Dartmouth Dean's Office), who filled me in on quite a few of our classmates' activities. They told me that Kenny Lehman is teaching and coaching skiing in Jackson, Wyo.; that Nick Lawrence has had a recent solo exhibition of his paintings in Boston; that SteveAbbott is doing free-lance filmmaking; and that Matt Eckel is doing research at the Dartmouth Medical School. They also told me of our two classmates who are teaching at the Gould Academy in Bethel, Maine. Kirk Siegl and Robert Jessen are both on the faculty there. And, they told me of a mini-reunion held at Sugarbush North, which included John Henderson, Gail Sullivan, Anne Boln,Kim Davis, Craig, and Alex McCormick '80. Again, my thanks to both of you for all of the information.

Well, I think it's time to sign off. It's haird to believe yet another year has gone by. But, there will be an '82 column in the September issue of the Alumni Magazine from now on, so you won't have to wait so long to hear news of 'B2s.

Reminders for the coming months: l)pledge/give to the Alumni Fund; 2)reserve your space(s) for Tom Burack's hiking week- end at Moosilauke; 3)drop us a note to tell us what you're doing; and 4)have a wonderful summer! Em.

One-time anchor of the WDCR-WFRD Election Network Coverage, Tom Farmer '82 continues to keep the public informed as general assignment reporter and late-night news anchor for WCAX-TVin Burlington, Vt. Farmer, who has been with WCAX since the Monday morning following his graduation from Dartmouth, has found the switch from radio to TV both exciting and frustrating. "TV is more influential and better on the dramatic stories," commented Farmer recently, "but radio is more versatile and there is a lot less technology that can go wrong. It's frustrating to take eight or nine hours of important hearings and condense them into two minutes or less, if the visuals aren't exciting." WCAX's Burlington location appeals to Farmer. "The quality of life here is fabulous," he said. Another bonus was last November's election results: while the presidential results were, at best, mildly entertaining, Farmer was following a seven-way mayoral race in Burlington, a cliff-hanger of a race for governor of Vermont, and a major shift in the state legislature.
