John Hager dropped us a note in early September to report that he and his wife, Blanca, have been living in Miami since 1981. John is Latin American regional sales manager for the FMC Corporation. "I spend a lot of time on the road south of the border with my job," he writes, "but we enjoy what the real Miami (not the Friday night version) has to offer as a multi-culture crossroads."

Bill Brooks reports that he and Wallis have recently had their fourth child, a daughter, Christina Lily, bringing the total of offspring in the Brooks household to three daughters and one son.

I got a phone call from John Kornet the other day. John has just started a neW business venture, Global Perspectives, Inc., headquartered in Boston but doing business around the world, as the name implies. The company advises investment management firms and retirement plan administrators on international investment opportunities. John's interest presently is focused on Japan, and he spent some time last summer at Dartmouth learning the language.

John also reported, on behalf of the class executive committee, that Jim VanAmburg will be my successor as your class secretary, so it appears this column is my swan song at least for the time being. So, for the last time, thanks to all of you for your input, humor, constructive criticism, news, philosophical insights, and so forth. If any of you find yourselves in the southeastern Pennsylvania area, look me up, give me a call, and let's get together to talk of old times.

See you at our 20th!
