So many inquire about Laura Carter. I was talking with her this morning and she sounded quite like her old self - cheerful, full of laughter, and hopeful that she may be able before too long to return to the Dartmouth work she so loves.
Grace Prentiss tells about her Christmas surprise. Kit Stevenson, Laura's daughter, phoned that Laura wanted to talk with her. She said that was the best Christmas present she could ask for.
Helen Pullen, hearing about the 65th, recalled pleasant memories, especially the 40th when she and Howard had such a glorious time.

Eva (Buttons) Hill has made a remarkable recovery from back surgery.
A Christmas card was returned from Mrs. Henry Page, Ithaca, N.Y., "unable to be forwarded." Does anybody know anything further about her?
A Christmas letter arrived from Irene and Ken Hussey. He was recuperating well from a stroke of a few years ago when Irene had a heart attack. They are newly located now in Apt. 12A, 19 Pine Street, Walleville, NY 14895.
A clipping from a Weston newspaper tells that Ruth, wife of Eben Wallace, died October 2 in a nursing home in Newton. She was active with garden clubs and was president of her garden club in Weston.
Two more 1920 alumni have left us. Dean Hamilton Travis, Bozeman, MT 59715, died November 29, 1985, of pneumonia after an illness. Eric Van AlstyneHauser was living with his daughter, Beverly Kuhurts, Box 121, Borrego Springs., CA 92004, when he died on November 24, 1985, while convalescing from an illness.

Never has there been a college that is more like a family than Dartmouth.
It is with deep regret that we report the death of Hazel Macomber Klotter on February 12 following a brief illness. Her energy and her cheerful efforts on behalf of the class of 1920 will be sorely missed.
