Laura Carter lives nearby, I was invited to lunch with her to give her firsthand information of 1920's reunion. She is getting along remarkably well and recently went to lunch at one of our fine Sun City restaurants. It pleases her to receive messages from her Dartmouth friends, either directly or indirectly.

Alice Weymouth has recuperated from the long siege during Bud's illness. She is now ready to carry on in his place as newsletter associate editor. There is one issue in process, and then the next one will be written by her. It has been an effort during this last, mixed-up year, but it has, at the same time, been pleasurably rewarding writing to you, and I shall miss it, I'm sure. But I turn it back to Alice's good and capable hands.

Hilda Spalding was sorry she couldn't get to reunion. She felt she should attend the presentation of the Boy Scout Eagle Award to her grandson in Pinehurst, N.H. She planned to be at her summer home on the lake during the summer and was pleased that she would have the company of her youngest granddaughter, as she was to do summer work nearby.

Hariett Miller Hight writes that she and Don went to his 55th reunion from their summer home in Sandwich, N.H., and also attended his medical school reunion. She noticed that the campus had never looked so good. They had returned from visiting her daughter, Deedie, and family in May in Germany. While there they spent a few days in Obergurge, the highest village in Austria. She added that she and Erwin had been there in 1953. Obergurge is now a ski resort and still unspoiled,, high in the Ostal Alps near the Italian border, with spectacular scenery, which she was sure Sherman Adams would appreciate.

Jack Lappin enjoys news of Dartmouth, and he is getting along well with the aid of a big, strong male nurse; although he is incapacitated, he counts his blessings. His unlisted phone number is 207/871-7027, and I'm sure he'd like to hear from anv Dartmouth alumni in his area.

Katherine Allen (Mrs. John Allen) is well and active. I remember she came to see Emilie Palmer and me at our hotel in Seattle as we were starting on a tour of the beautiful Canadian Northwest a few years ago.

In the Summer issue of the AlumniMagazine there is a group picture of the seven '20 alumni who returned to Hanover in June taken in front of the Inn with a backdrop of the Old Concord Coach. Another picture was taken including the three wives and eight widows who attended. If you who were not able to attend would like to have a picture, one or both, they were taken by Dexter Pierce, Box 133, Hanover, NH 03755 and can still be purchased by sending him $4. There is a difference in the size of the group compared to the 1980 reunion group picture - time has taken its toll.

Your classmates are interested in how you are and what you are doing. So do send in the green cards! Best wishes.
