Last month's column noted passage of the 40th birthday for many of us. That's certainly one sure sign of the passage of time. Another is how old our kids are getting. Quite a few are approaching "college age"; some are already there.

Word has reached this desk that Wah-Hoo-Wahs are in order for Fred Henry,John Kornet, and Jeff Zimmerman, whose sons, Fred, John, and Paul, respectively, have received early admission to the class of (can it be?) 1990.

Lew Pauker reports that he and his family have spent the past eight years living in Brazil, Australia, and, most recently, Bangkok, Thailand, where Lew works as managing director for Colgate-Palmolive (Thailand), Ltd. Believe it or not, there is a Dartmouth Club in Thailand, currently boasting a membership of about 15 alumni. Lew writes: "I first learned about the club shortly after arriving in Bangkok when a newspaper article about me (Bangkok really is a small town!) mentioned the College, and an alumnus called. After receiving the membership list, I found out that a prince and his son who live across the street from us are also alumni."

From Cambridge, Mass., Julian Miller and his wife, Joan Klagsbrun, joyfully report the birth of a son, Joshua, on December 21, 1985.

It seems the whole world wants to buy condominiums on the coast of Maine, or so says Joe Carleton, in any case. Joe dropped us a note the other day, reporting that he practices law in the Down East coastal town of Wells with his two partners (including Earle Patterson '60) and keeps quite busy, thank you, catering to the condominium trade.

You'll be reading this in April, so I'll spare you any despairing comments about the Pennsylvania February which is going on outside my window. Stay in touch!
