You guys keep on achieving month after month! This month the pack is lead by Mike Tompkins and Bob Crumrine. Mike has just been made re-insurance vice president for the Paul Revere Insurance Group in Worcester, Mass. He has been with Revere for the last 25 years and is active in various industry associations as well as the executive committee of Worcester's Dartmouth Club.

Dr. Bob Crumrine has been appointed professor and chairman of the department of anesthesiology in the school of medicine at the University of Georgia. This required a move to Augusta, Ga., from Memphis, Tenn., where he had been specializing in pediatric anesthesiology.

A classic example of an overachiever is Paul Ehrlich, who has married again after years of being a bachelor. I attended the wedding celebration which was capped by a large black-tie dinner dance in San Francisco. The overachievement designation is based on Paul's having won the hand of Emmy, a lady of fairy princess beauty and incredible accomplishments. Get this: Emmy's academic career consisted of honors from Miss Porter's and Wellesley before she graduated with distinction from Cal Berkeley's Law School where she was a member of the law review. She is an authentic golf champion and has won the Olympic Club golf championship for 10 years in a row. Somehow, Paul boated the lovely lady and now lives in her baronial manse next door to Mayor Diane Feinstein. Some classmates may not remember Paul, as he did not graduate with our class, having been savaged by the intellectual intricacies of courses like Rocks I and Stars. Following valorous military service, he reentered Dartmouth and graduated with the class of '59 which shortsightedly has declined to adopt him as an official member. He and Emmy recently celebrated his 50th birthday with an elaborate casino party.

John Austin turned 50 by exercising his family court judicial prerogatives of finalizing some adoptions and sending three guys to the cooler for nonsupport. His family then put on a surprise bash with imported friends and relatives from all over the East Coast.

Dave Sandborg is a partner in one of the largest San Francisco law firms. He is keeping quiet on his birthday celebration but does note-that he has moved from a racy singles-oriented part of the San Francisco Bay Area to the staid Peninsula where a lot of his older classmates live.

Charlie White anticipated his 50th by moving back to Brunswick, Maine, and started all over again in a new industry not designated by his card. However, the card does have a picture of his snappy looking sailboat, Mimosa, which was obviously motivational in his return to New England from the South.

Dave Clements is settling in in San Jose, Calif., where he celebrated his 50th birthday. He is the managing partner of Arthur Andersen's office and active in community affairs, including a successful fund-raising effort for Junior Achievement.

Tony Jenks is now director of personal trusts investments for California's Crocker Bank and has remarried. He is probably anxiously watching the reorganization of his bank as a result of its acquisition by Wells Fargo. He lives in the Berkeley Hills where his 50th birthday was observed by a party and the obligatory belly dancer.

Finally, in my mail was a letter from someone claiming to be Henrietta, ChrisWren's cat. The Searby family feline Buff the Wonder Cat, The Big Play Guy from Burma - studied the letter and concludes there are certain stylistic weaknesses indicating the probability, that it was indeed written by a cat - and not a very well educated one at that. In any case, the Wrens are still in Ottawa and up to all sorts of things. Recently they went to an Erich Kunzel concert but were prevented from visiting Erich after the concert by what Chris describes as an hysterical bunch of groupies desperate to get Erich's white tie. Chris and wife Jacqueline have a big house on 18 acres in Ely, Vt. The Wrens' children are doing spectacularly well with daughter Celia now at Harvard and son Christopher at Mt. Herman where he is a wrestling star. Chris has promised to write at "excessive length" about his 50th birthday, and I pledge to pass the news along.
