Get ready for some action-packed paragraphs.

Larry Wright and his wife, Paula (Egan), are in the Peace Corps in Haiti. I wonder if they're "haiting" it or loving it? (How many of you did I lose with that one?) Other people journeying off to the Third World include Cathy Camp, who just finished her master's in Vancouver and will soon become an assistant information officer at the U.S. embassy in Lagos, Nigeria, and Randy Schwartz, whom I plan to personally ship off to some remote corner for his remark that the sheep on the Scottish moors he visited while vacationing will never be the same. Disgusting. What a sheep shot, Randy. Randy is in Dallas working for TI. Until he moves, that is.

And now, the inevitable. The lawyers. I think our class is vying for the distinction of most lawyers per square foot of U.S. topsoil. Mark Weinhardt finished U. of Michigan and passed the bar to end up in Chicago. Chris Caravette is lawing there too. (New verb. What do you think? If we're taking over the profession, we can certainly create our own legal vocabulary.) Amy Warner is a lawyer in Boston and will be married in April to a fellow Boston attorney. Peter Rosenwald II is finishing up at Washington and Lee and will clerk for a judge in Baltimore. Until then he will "continue to hunt quail by day and Hodlins women by night." Once again Rosey leaves his audience wondering what he has been imbibing. Hodlins?

Last lawyer to make the column: Tom Burack. Tom sent news of last summer's Moosilauke hike. (We pride ourselves on our timeliness.) Hikers included Tom Slocum, Dave Van Wie '79, Dana Kurtz,Cheryl Bascomb Van Wie, Dale Janik,Dave Conard, Scrib Fauver and friend Susan Sanzone, Mike Berg, MelissaCook, Angela Santini, and DougaldMac Donald. What a crew. We'll have an even bigger crew this August since Tom has already reserved the Ravine Lodge for August 8, 9, and 10. Plan now. Eat peanut butter and Wonder bread to save for the trip. No excuses.

Speaking of money, J. Michael Cline sent a nice note to J. Donahoe from Ann Arbor, Mich., where Mike is in med school. Mike wondered if we can channel our class funds to financial aid. I already know where we can channel them, Mike. My wardrobe is in tough shape. (Seriously, we'll look into that. Thanks.) KassSpanos is in D.C. doing college interviewing with Hope Wernick and others. (For Dartmouth, that is.) Maybe that's all they're doing. No mention of real jobs. John Faucher is reporting for a local weekly in Berkeley and working on his master's in journalism. Jeff Given, whose name is perfect for a bad punster (I do not include myself in that class), married his HTH, Geri Zulli, in December and is working his way from rung to rung at Marriott Hotels. Brad Brown was best man, and Mark Zimmerman and Garry"T.C." Anthony were in the wedding party.

And just as that party came to and end, so must all good things. (Ah, what a masterful segue. What a poet. What a genius. What a perfect time to shut up, you say. Oh, I'm so embarrassed. I'm going to put a bag over my head.)
