When the class of '85 held its mini-reunion, we asked classmates to sign their names in a big notebook, and to jot down a word about themselves or their classmates. It was very successful, and Don Gaeta and Gayle Gilman filled an entire newsletter with the responses. We attempted to do the same sort of thing at the "Party of the Eighties." Though very few people responded, what we did get makes for some interesting reading.

People in Chicago were very verbose. Lisa Reilly: "I'm playing lawyer for the summer." Terri Sergesketter: "I'm working at an advertising agency (not Leo Burnett) and living in Lincoln Park. It's good to see Dartmouth people again." Unidentified, about Terri: "She has a working knowledge of at least two bus routes and can identify more than five streets in the city. Terri, known for her ability to get completely lost, has undergone extensive studies in an attempt to rectify this problem." Unidentified, about Dave Etz: "He spends his mornings car pooling to work with Carla Small '84 and Tisa Hughes '84 who are often too perky at that hour to believe. As a Starkist ad man, Dave's making many westbound trips to Tuna Lane."

The news from Boston gets jucier. What kind of drinks were they serving there? Stephanie Wilkinson: "I heard Rick Kleeman is engaged to one hot chick from Stanford . . . this is probably old news, but if it isn't I thought you should know. And where is my old roommate Sally Spiers? And BenLover, where the hell are you? Jen Barron will be attending Harvard Business School this fall." Stephanie has left her job at Dancer, Fitzgerald, Sample of NYC and is now a staff writer at the computer newspaper PC Week in Boston.

Beth Parish didn't write from a Dartmouth party, but she did take the time to send a letter for no reason at all. Did you hear that? Some people write just because they want to! Beth has two pieces of good news. She, like everyone else, is returning to graduate school this fall. She will be at Duke Business School, and will probably see a lot of Kirsten Johansen who will be attending Duke Medical School. Also, like a lot of her classmates including myself, Beth is engaged. She will marry Ist Lt. Greg Langer (WPI '84), who's currently in the Air Force. Their wedding is set for June 1989, after Beth graduates from B-school.

Margaret Warram and Dave Marder have also made it official. They were engaged this summer and are planning to be married in August 1988. Wedding bells will also ring for Peter Anastos and Julie Martin in 1988.

Richard Weissman made a quick business trip to Chicago a few weeks ago. He told us that Michael Thompson and JohnWack have left their jobs and are in writing school in Maryland. John Early and DonPomeroy are sharing an apartment in Worcester, Mass., undoubtedly driving the ladies wild.
