A couple of weeks ago I received a letter from Alumni Records asking me to print the names of some "lost" classmates. How these people have escaped from the fold I will never understand . . . Dartmouth mail is the only thing that gives our mailbox reason for existence! Anyway, if you have information on the whereabouts and present address of the following individuals, please let me know. They are: Ken Bogusz, JenniferBusiek, Frank Cerveny, Marci Dabbs,James Doughman, Deana Hudgens, Natascha Kotto, Carolyn Magee, MichaelStortz, Karen Van Ness, and JonathanWilson. If anybody talks to them, please tell them that Alumni Records would like their address.

1986 was a big year for weddings and engagements. Bob Ramsey and Anne Ballotti were married on September 27, 1986, in Cambridge at the Cambridge Boat Club. Attending the wedding were PresRomayne, Doug Fulton, Jeff Howe, MarkPerezeus, Scott Borek, David Hall and Pete Romayne. Apparently, the wedding was so lovely that it inspired two of the seven then-single men to choose the married life over bachelorhood. Congratulations to Pres Romayne and Kay Kristof'86, who are planning a 1987 wedding.

The other good-looking, lucky guy following in Bob and Anne's footsteps is Scott Borek. Scott popped the question on Christmas day to Gayle Gilman, with the entire Gilman family close at hand. More than a little bit surprised, Gayle responded when asked what she would do with her gift, "I could always hock it." The best part about it was that her father had received a video camera from Santa earlier in the day, so the special moment and the following hours of celebration were captured forever, with colorful narration from Gayle's next-door neighbor. Please send a check or money order for $10, to our apartment and we will send you a copy. Truly a classic! Gayle and Scott are planning a 1988 wedding.

Also married on September 27, 1986, were Frank and Suzanne Schott Reichel. Their wedding was at 6 p.m., with the dinner reception held in a huge tent on the front lawn of Fran's parents' house in Villanova, Pa., immediately following. Roma Sharma left the hustle and bustle of New York City for the wedding, as did Missi Reinkemeyer. Roma is currently attending Columbia Med School, and Missi is in advertising at Ogilvy and Mather. Dave Ruff came all the way from Freeport, Maine! They and the others gathnical knowledge between the United States and Japan. David, who completed an intensive nine-week Japanese language course at Cornell this summer, will spend from nine months to one year in Japan and will be working at Hitachi.

Other assorted news: Mark Stern is out in California trying to make a name in the film industry. David Halligan was spotted driving down Rush Street in Chicago sporting a savage tan. Harry Bourque's New Year's Party was a huge success, as was a recent fete at the Cat Club in NYC. Bill Miller reports that Moon Askari is working in London and wearing a suit and tie every day. Diana Shannon and Elise Miller are soon to be heading to Costa Rica to work. Jill Morgan and Doug Kir recently left for Australia, where they will spend the next several months. Susanna Gaylord will be taking over for me and writing the April column. Please send news.
