Business is the employer of choice among the graduates from the class of 1986. More than 63 percent of the class of 1986 who responded to the senior survey conducted by the Office of Career and Employment Services (CES) indicated they were ployed in business-related fields. The figure has risen 12 percent in the past six years.

"The business world is more interested in students of our kind," says CES Associate Director Burt Nadler. "People are coming to us."

Starting salaries for the College's youngest class ranged from a high of $36,000 to a low of $6,500. The mean starting salary for a 1986 graduate was $23,271. Men and women were paid comparably.

One employment category . evidently didn't capture the fancy of the class of 1986. Out of the 955 graduates who responded (1,042 were polled), only one categorized himself as self-employed.
