"Hello, Rangoon?"

If the Student Assembly has its way, every student will be able someday to reach out and touch someone—and never leave the dorm room. The Assembly and the Office of Residential Life are exploring the possibility of installing telephones in all student rooms. Proponents say that the new system would improve communications between students because all rooms would have telephone service. Presently, New England Telephone provides for those who are willing to pay for the service.
