When Time Inc. decided to relocate American Television Communications, Inc., the nation's second largest cable TV operator, to New York, TrygveMyhren resigned as chief executive. Tryg said he did not want to relocate from Denver to New York City. The Wall Street Journal stated, "Mr. Myhren, who served as chairman of the National Cable Television Association trade group last year, is respected in the industry, and his departure came as a surprise to some. He recently won a top industry leadership award and has a high profile in regulatory and other matters of importance to- the cable operators." Tryg's plans were unknown at that time so we await word and wish him well.

Richard Roth has been named senior vice president of Ogilvy & Mather in New York City.

Louise Kennedy, widow of Bruce Kennedy, wrote that their son has been admitted to the University of Arkansas College of Medicine, where Dodd Wilson is dean.

Alan Ertel, former Pennsylvania congressman who has in recent year run close races for attorney general and governor of Pennsylvania, is seeking a seat on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. One of Al' pledges to the voters is to speed up the judicial process if elected.

Libby Drosdick, Ernie's widow, was in China standing outside the Beijing Hotel when three Dartmouth students studying the Chinese language' at the Wang Fujin Institute appeared. With Libby was Ernie's sister Betsy—who in 1965 attended the first summer school which allowed women on the campus at Dartmouth — and Ernie's daughter Liz. The travelers embraced and shared Dartmouth stories. The Dartmouth Scholars in China were Stephanie Rouzee, Sophie Griewold, and Mary Aselton, all class of 1991. Libby keeps in touch with Dartmouth friends, especially Mike andBetsy Growney. If you are in Hanover for football this fall, keep an eye on center David Gazzaniga, co-captain and son of Al Gazzaniga. Among the accomplishments under head agent John Whiteley's guidance, 1958 donated $205,666 to the College, a new "year out" record. John expressed appreciation to all the agents, special thanks to coordinators Dick Jacob in the East and Dave Badger in the West. Frank Sands was participation coordinator. Otto Wagenbach handled matching gifts, and Bob Downey, Ralph Manuel, JoelPortugal, Frank Blatz, Walter Vail, MelAlperin, Dick Roth, John Graf, DaveBradley, Kit Cowperthwaite, PhilDrescher, Joel Potash, and Joe Blake solicited leadership gifts.
