Ken Paul has left his job at Newsday to become the managing editor of a start-up weekly, the New York Observer. It's a noteworthy publication concentrating on covering Manhattan and very visible on the newsstands because of the peach-colored paper they use. Ken says he loves the work but finds it very time-consuming. Not so much though that he won't be with us for our reunion in June. Ken worked for Newsday for 11 years before moving on.

John Tallmadge has been named associate dean of the Union Graduate School of the Union for Experimenting Colleges and Universities. The UECU offers a unique opportunity for adults to design their own graduate and undergraduate degree programs under the guidance of a nationally recognized faculty of scholars. John will have primary responsibility for working with UGS doctoral candidates and will participate in all policy-making decisions. John has held teaching positions at Yale, SUNY College at Potsdam, N. Y., the University of Utah, and most recently was an assistant professor of English and environmental literature at Minnesota Carleton College. In 1984, John was a visiting professor of environmental studies at Dartmouth.

Norm Jacobs sent me some literature on "Flash Cadillac," the band that will be playing at our reunion. They have appeared in American Graffiti, Apocalypse Now, a variety of television shows, and in concerts throughout the United States. They are just part of what will be an exciting and funfilled weekend. I hope to see you there. Take care and write.
