An article in the Alumni Magazine once described the main symptom of the "Dartmouth Disease" as "spending four years trying to get out of Hanover and the rest of your life trying to get back." Gentlemen, start your engines; we're going home! Our 20th reunion is June 17-19, 1988. Set those days aside.
The Homecoming game this year is against Yale on October 31. Norm Jacobs, our reunion chairman, has reserved a room at the Hanover Inn for a class of 1969 dinner after the game. You will receive a mailing about this. As in the past, Bill Stableford and I will try to set up a pre-game get-together. Look for the 1969 banner.
Last March Bill attempted his first winter ascent of Mt. Washington (elevation 6288 feet) to celebrate his 40th birthday. With the aid of a professional guide and some good weather, Bill was successful. As of now, no plans have been made for his 50th birthday. The Paul Jerde family is larger by one. Kayla Marie joined their ranks several months back and is enjoying the Colorado summer.
A postcard from Wally Sizer informs us that he and wife Judy are "on our way back to the wilds of Minnesota after a sabbatical year of study and teaching in Malaysia. The time in Malaysia has been good, especially the exposure to different cultures and religions. And the bird-watching was wonderful!"
Ken Wilson was recently named senior executive vice president and head of corporate financing for the E.F. Hutton group, Inc. Ken was formerly managing director for Salomon Brothers, Inc.

Orgs, you may remember, co-authored a book several years ago on Victorian homes in Port Townsend, Wash.
Bay Willie was married last December to Pat Van Den Broeke. Pat is a major in the United States Air Force and will be attending an intermediate officers' course in Norfolk, Va. Bay, a lieutenant colonel, is a fighter pilot. They plan to live in Washington, D.C.
My old roommate, Jon Shastid, has moved up the corporate ladder, having been promoted to senior vice president of the Brown-Forman Beverage Company. Jon, director of marketing for California Cooler, had been a vice president of the division. Prior to that, Jon worked for E & J Gallo Company and Del Monte. On a personal note, Jon, I am anxiously awaiting my complimentary case of California Cooler.
Once again, a reminder about our reunion. Norm and the reunion committee will be working very hard to make it a success but the heart of any reunion is you—make the effort!
Managing not to be gusted off the summit of Mount Washington is Bill Stableford '69, who celebratedhis 40th birthday in March by making the climb.
