Curly Prosser called to report that MuttJennings and the 60th Reunion committee are delighted to have 91 acceptances (including couples, singles, and guests) as of the January 13 deadline for these notes.

Happy to receive the news in December that Red and Fonty Sanborn's grandson, Eagle, of Grand Forks, N.D., got early acceptance from Dartmouth. His cousin, Pam Lombard '90 also got early acceptance, so the Sanborn grandchildren are carrying on the family tradition that goes back to Red's father, class of 1895, and grandfather, class of 1869.

A Christmas card is always a joy to receive, but particularly the one of John andPeg Phillips, both smiling and standing in front of their house in Montclair, proof of John's determination to make steady progress after a stroke in November affected his left arm and leg. He'll be at the reunion!

Curly and George Davis report that the class of 1928 Memorial Scholarship Fund now stands at $256,103, and that the income supports one student in each of the undergraduate classes. They also report that during the 1987 fiscal year bequests from our class totaled $243,061 and new life-income gifts came to $579,053. Overall we have received 19 bequests for $1,636,100 and 34 separate life-income plans for $3,209,786.

Rusty Philbrick has sent in his reservation for the 60th—his first reunion. He and Jean live in South Yarmouth, Mass., but are spending January-April at 2020 Lake Osborne, Lake Worth, FL 33461.

Jerry Sloane writes he works one day a week as a volunteer at the Human Resources School for handicapped children.

Tavey and Louise Taylor couldn't make the fall reunion. The only space they could get on the cruise ship was September—up the coast of Norway to the North Cape. It was a great trip and nothing will interfere with their coming to the 60th.

Sad to report the deaths of Wes Wood on November 10 in Albany, N.Y., after a long illness; of Tim Page on November 22 at his home in North Falmouth, Mass.; and WesPatience on December 12 in Millville, N.J. Tim and Virginia had tickets for the Dartmouth-Harvard football game, but he had a stroke the week before. Wes had walked around the neighborhood the afternoon before his fatal heart attack.
