Not content with their part in 1930's third year of 100 percent Alumni Fund participation, these familiar names also appear in the list of contributors to the Medical School's Alumni Fund: Hub Christman,Dave Latham, Joe Placak, Bob Rix, DonHight, George Lord, and Bill Putnam. Joe Placak was head agent for the DMS class of '31, and Don Hight was assistant head agent for '32, while Herm Sander was a member of the Alumni Fund Committee, representing 1930-39.

Further notes from the world of medicine inform us that Dave and Harriet Latham lunched with Hub and Margaret Christman in Arizona last spring. Anne (Ernie) Latham is alive and well in Lowell, Mass. Ernest Jr. '60 is in the U.S. Foreign Service, currently at the embassy in Bucharest, and Ernie's younger son, James '64, is a vice president of Sheraton Hotels. And Don Hight reported that he had retired from the practice of general surgery and was enjoying downhill and cross-country skiing, as well as woodworking and fishing.

We extend our sympathy to Jacquie andShelly Stark, who lost a favorite 18-yearold granddaughter, Michele, just before Thanksgiving in a tragic crash which also took the lives of three companions. Michele was an A student in high school and a talented actress, and hoped to make a career in the theater.

My good correspondent Bob Chittim sent a 1926 photo of our Hubbard Hall delegation, dressed up (or down) for the Delta Alpha parade. Displaying their youthful figures were Bob Kimball, Ted Childs, BillLucas, Stan Osgood, Red McLellan, TomDonovan, A1 Dickerson, and MaurieChait. Maurie and Bob are the only known survivors. Like most of us, the picture has deteriorated over the years. If it can be restored I'll publish it.

Bob also reports, as of mid-December, the Sarasota snowbirds were gathering. Boofand Billy Perkins had been there a month. Marge Chase was to arrive in January, and presumably the Sturmans shortly thereafter. He didn't know about Ann Shattuck, as he says, "I believe she has remarried."

Sarasota continues to be Dartmouth-active, with 110 dues payers and about 50 for club luncheons twice a month. The annual Christmas brunch brings out about 160 alumni, students, prospects, and parents. Dean McCollum of the Medical School was expected in January and Buddy Teevens in February.

Greetings.
