Al Morris, having grown up in the Boston area, remembers the statue "Appeal to the Great Spirit" in front of the Museum of Fine Arts which appears on this year's class birthday card. Al is now the youngest member of the class. Pat Allen was younger but he died in December. Al recalls that when he entered Dartmouth aged 16 he did not feel that youth was such a factor when almost everyone around him was 18 or over. Presently he and his wife Sadie are not in the best of health and are happy their son George '54 is now living with them in Aiken, S.C.

It is seldom in our 1926 class notes that we hear from two Lambs, Dick and Hank, in the same month, especially when they are so far afield.

Dick Lamb, Rapid City, S.D., acknowledging his '26 birthday card, says definitely he is not yet retired, and that he and one of his sons continue their ranching and land operations. Their part of South Dakota is growing steadily, aided by the large air force base and missile complexes.

Hank Lamb, now of Freedom, N.H., but once a Bostonian from 1920 to 1928, recalls seeing on many occasions the "Great Spirit" statue. Freedom has provided bountiful snowfall during the winter, which his new home withstood, and the local school board provided enough problems to keep him occupied during all seasons.

Jack and Helen Morgan, Harwich, Mass., enjoy Jack's retirement as superintendant of Chatham-Harwich schools. Jack keeps active tending their strawberry and raspberry patches, which intrigue their neighbors. He also keeps their home painted, and, although he gave up his favorite sport of golf, can still drive nearly to the par-three green when playing with his son Jack Jr. '52. He never misses a Dartmouth game on New England TV, and would be delighted to hear from classmates.

The seminar sponsored by the Boston Alumni Association on Robert Frost at Babson College in February was attended by Larry and Jean Kennison, Charlie and Helen Clare Macdonald, Don and Lou Norstrand, and Mary Lou Orr.
