Sad news for the entire class is the death of Harold Hess in Bronxville, N. Y., on October 2. Our class treasurer and his wife Grace had only recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary, September 3. Harold and Grace summered as usual in the White Mountains. They visited with Gladys Bergengren and brought back with them her greetings to her many friends in the Class. On their way home they stopped over at Hanover hoping to get an inside glimpse of Hopkins Center but were met with sign "no admission, still in hands of contractor."
I have just learned of the unfortunate accident which happened to Louisa, wife of Alton Pratt. Our class sympathy and best wishes to you both for Louisa's speedy recovery.
I also received a letter from Kid Cohen who accepted my resignation as Class Secretary and the appointment of AG Smith as my successor. Being secretary has been a most pleasant assignment and I shall always retain many happy memories.
Best wishes to you, AG. To the Class "So Long, because in the Dartmouth fellowship there is no parting."
Secretary, 13 Vermont Ave. Binghamton, N. Y.
