Since most of us are getting back into the habit of mowing the lawn and feeding the roses, it may not be easy to hark back to February, but we did have a mini-reunion and a meeting of the class executive committee that goes along with these winter and fall get-togethers. We met on Saturday, February 20, and vestiges of Carnival statues were still around. There were also visible evidences of 19 'sos at the conclave that morning in Blunt (which you knew as Crosby Hall), and half a dozen more that evening for 'tails and dinner with '49s who were outnumbered but not intimidated by the odds.

Space limitations preclude even a synopsis of the agenda, so suffice it to report that we heard lots of good news about President Freedman's early months on the job, along with some candid comments about aspects that haven't been totally resolved to everyone's satisfaction. Note: they never will be.

Jack Harlow reported on our very successful but not Green-Derby-winning performance in last year's Alumni Fund drive. Since we returned to an "average" (for Dartmouth) participation level, Jack hopes you've already repeated or increased your gift from last year—or will herewith rejoin the contributor group if you forgot in 'B7. With the recent classes donating in the 90 percent-plus range, our 68.3 percent is not at the level that reflects "A Touch of Class." 'Nuff said.

We'll remind you again this summer, but the next mini is planned for September 1618 with "headquarters" at the Sunset Motel. Len Matless and Dave Taylor have a great weekend planned. Bill Carpenter (one of our reps on the Alumni Council) says we'll see better days on. the gridiron as a result of improved spirit/pride in the team under the new coach, so you probably ought to come see for yourself.

POST-CARD INFO: A couple of cards wandered back in here to verify that Salvatore Fiore is still ensconced at 48-40 48th Street, Woodside, NY 11377, and Emil Hudak is further out on the island at 146 Rockaway Avenue, Rockville Center 11570. How about seeing you next September?

Charles (Charlie?) Hart checked in from 4467 Kellogg Circle, Dunwoody, GA 30338. At last report he was with CNA Insurance in Atlanta.

POST-CRASH INFO: This is kinda out of date but you may relate (if a bit of rhymin' won't harm 'im): After October 19 RickMiller was interviewed on ABC and observed, "We're coming down to earth, it's just a question of how badly we'll be bruised." Alumni Fund take note.

POST-MINI MEMO: Randi and NevChamberlain were off to Norway last month for what sounded like a terrific trek. Fizz Nichols told me about his cruise last year with the Dan Featherstons and FrankHarringtons and Frank Dickinsons. Maybe we need a travel agents seminar for the rest of us. But not for Dick McSorley (Fastech, P.O. Box 427, Camillus, NY 13031) who is advising folks on how to manage food service and hospitality in his current career.

Oops. Outta room. Gotta run. See ya in
