Fool's Day is past... long live the Fool! But don't fool around any longer. . . get your reservations in for the Touch Class 40th Reunion, June 11-13. Data and dollars to Len Matless, 17 Rayton Rd., Hanover, NH 03755.
PHURTHER PHINANCIAL PHOIBLES . . . We phooled around last month with Phillie Phinance and now it's back to the Big Apple where Clift Whiteman was elected to the board of Integrated Resources, a financial services firm that reported a billion-dollar loss for its second fiscal (if we said phiscal the editor would change it to physical) quarter. Clift is still a consultant and former executive VP of Bank of Tokyo Trust Cos. in New York. You gotta a lotta rice bowls to fill up on this one, big guy!
ANCHORS AWAY ... All you ex-swab jockies know it's "aweigh," but our civilian compadres think the words mean they've departed. Anyhow, there are amongst us a few 50s who came in under the V-12 program, although most of us who got Uncle to pay before we served were in the NROTC. If you'd like to know more about the wartime training in Hanover where Dartmouth had the largest unit (2,000) in the country, you could write Bob Sebilian '48 at 5505 Seminary Road, Suite 1917N, Falls Church, VA22041-3915. He's hoping to generate interest in a reunion in a couple of years. But first, come to ours in June.
PHUND PHACTS ... Just to get your attention, a very phew words about the Alumni Fund. 'Tis the season again to dig down and use your tax refund to help your College. Or find the money in a forgotten piggie bank, but this year especially, make it a really significant gift so 1950 will continue to demonstrate why we claim to have a Touch of Class. If you have comments or questions, Jack Harlow is head agent. You can find him at 510 Hillcrest Road, Ridgefield, NJ 07450. Want to make a really large donation? You could phone 201/444-9418.
