To you who were not able to attend the very well managed (by Charlie Zimmerman) reunion, these few notes may give you a birdseye view of what happened.

There were only 20 of our classmates present, along with a number of wives and widows. Those present were: Vincent andConnie Baldwin, Chesley and Billy Bixby,Olive Caswell, Connie Haynes, WarrenCook, Francis Donovan, Leon and AnnetteFreeman, Clarence and Priscilla Goss, JohnGriffin, Herbert and Bee Home, Miriam Home, Charles Jones, Dwight Keef, Marion Barbara, Coulter Little, John McGrath and daughter, Joseph Malone, Elinor Martin, Elnora Metzel, Florence Miner,Charles Palmer and grandson Frank Randall, Henry Perkins, Elmer Phillips and daughter Debbie, Dudley Pope and Jinny,Joseph Schiffenhaus and Mary Ann.

Also Peggy Lawrence and Betty, PhillipSegal and Murt, Paul Soley and daughter Leisel, Betty Sollitt, Alma Udall and Janet, Kendall Way, and Maggie and CharlesZimmerman.

The spirit of good cheer and close relationship pervaded the whole weekend, which began on Friday and ended Sunday morning under a blazing sun. There was something going on all the time. At the class dinner Cap Palmer gave an excellent dissertation on his life in the production of movies he's the only '23 ever to win an Oscar. The violin concerts by Leisel Soley were highlights. But perhaps the most touching and emotional experience was walking up the center aisle at Commencement, with trumpets blaring and possibly 10,000 observers standing and applauding as the great class of '23 led the parade to their seats.
