Now that the preliminary elections are behind us, it is time to get on with the class of 1975 agenda. As you know, June 16-18 is our 15th Reunion. This means that elections for class officers will be held; and Jeff Little assures me that this year it will be fair. No intimidation tactics, no ballot-box stuffing. Anyone interested in serving on the nominating committee should contact Jeff at 88 Langdall Drive, Hampton, NH 03842. Finally, Jeff wanted me to remind you all that any candidates must adhere to all federal election laws regarding fundraising.
With plans for reunion now in full swing, you should have received a letter from BillZorn, our reunion chairman. If not, let us know and we'll get you the details. Bill was in Hanover recently for the mini-reunion following the football team's victory over Harvard. Bill writes, "Kel Seliger and his wife flew in from Amarillo, Tex., for the game and were convinced that they had traveled the farthest. That appeared to be the case for only 30 minutes, when BlakeWinchell and his wife crashed the party, having flown in from San Francisco."
Others in attendance included much of the reunion committee as well as Jim Bildner and Curt Beck.
Every time I open my mail, it seems that there is another announcement about Dan Magee. You just can't keep a good guy down. Dan has been promoted to assistant vice president, investment officer at MidState Bank in Altoona. Dan joined the bank in 1983 as a portfolio manager and has received several promotions. In addition to graduating with all of us., Dan went on to obtain his M.B.A. from George Washington.
Following that theme, news arrives that Ted Stone has been named corporate controller of G. D. Searle & Cos., the pharmaceutical subsidiary of Monsanto. Ted will be responsible for financial services, including accounting support, financial analysis and reporting, budgets and forecasts, internal control, and investment evaluations to management. Ted, buddy, what do you do on weekends? Prior to joining Searle, Ted was chief financial officer at Arnox Coip. Previously he had been director of financial systems and analysis for Time Inc.
