After a recent dinner party at the Vieth residence, I decided we should have a class contest. The challenge: guess the weight of Charlie Jr. at the ripe old age of 10 months. The prize: lifetime immunity from your obligation to pay class dues. A few leads: (1) he's already bigger than Rob Worley; (2) Dick Smith recently liquidated his entire portfolio and invested in Beechnut stock, notwithstanding the apple juice scandal; and (3) it's all musclethe kid opens walnuts with his bare hands. By the way, when you send your entry, include news about yourself or classmates.

David Lee Reed, a graduate of Syracuse University Law School, is a barrister in Liverpool, N.Y. He is associate counsel to Fay's Drug Company and is responsible for the disposition of excess real estate. David and his wife, Debra Kellogg, have a two and a half-year old son, Benjamin.

Our class dentist, Eileen Kain, has married Mark A. Szypko, a personnel consultant for Digital., Eileen practices in Lynn, Mass.

This past October, Bill and Sally McGee attended the wedding of Lt. Steve Morrison and Jane Knight; the couple exchanged vows in Marlow on the Thames, England. Dana Lanzillo also attended. Bill and Sally have a daughter, Erin. Bill reports that Steve Bankert is a real estate developer in Albany and Rich Pugh is a corporate lawyer in Santa Monica, Calif.

Finally, I've received news releases concerning two of our classmates. Joe Nastri has been promoted to senior vice president and lending officer of the First Bank of West Hartford. And Robert Mucci has been designated a fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society. The Society is dedicated to the development of professional actuaries and to the advancement of actuarial science as it pertains to casualty, property, and health insurance in the U.S. ana Canada. Is there a translator in the house? Anyway, the fellowship is awarded after the successful completion of ten exams sponsored by the society. Robert is assistant vice president and associate actuary of the Transatlantic Reinsurance Company in New York.

My apologies for the misspelled names in the last column. I drafted that bad boy at the typewriter and relied on Worley's scholarship.

Think snow for Winter Carnival. For $20,000 a year, those kids certainly are entitled to an ice sculpture.
