Apologies to all for the mystery column in the March issue. Believe it or not, I actually made the deadline but the FAX transmission was not received in Hanover. To make matters worse, I trashed the draft in my file. So if you sent me news within the last few months and it hasn't been covered, rest assured that the mishap was not intentional.

I am sorry to report that on May 19, 1988, Jack Lamont Stokely died in San Francisco. Jack was a 1975 graduate of James W. Robinson Secondary School in Fairfax, Va. At Dartmouth Jack was an engineering sciences major and received citations for academic excellence in anthropology and English courses. The class extends its sympathy to the members of Jack's family.
